Some countries have four working shifts. That means even at nights, it is still working hours for people in that country. Some other countries have two shifts. That's to say working hours is just 12 hours which is half of a day.

This depends on company's policy. For media houses, hospitals there are 4 shifts, for shopping malls, there are two shifts, where as for normal organization there is just one shift

Multi-national companies here have three shifts only. Security agencies in the past have had two shifts the day and evening shifts but it is not anymore happening this time. The banks for example and jewelry shops use Time Locks.

It depends on the industry that you are in. Hotels and related businesses effectively run night shifts.
Yes especially here in Nigeria. you would definitely meet shifts whej you work in the hospitality industry

We have different working shifts here. As most of the jobs here are outsourced, we have AMER shift (America) meaning people from here work at night time. We have APAC shift (Asia and the Pacific) Asia and Australia, New Zealand etc. meaning people work day time and EMEA shift (Europe and Middle East) people work late morning and early evening. This is to mirror customers time.

That's because you are working at a Call Center. You have to entertain customer needs mostly in the evening. While ours here is morning, in other countries evening. There's time difference.

In my city, people don't work at night. We don't have an active nightlife culture here for people to work late into the night.
