Men of the Akwa Ibom State Police Command have arrested a 32-year-old man identified as Ndifreke Isaiah Nelson, for allegedly strangling his girlfriend, Emem Monday Effanga, 39, to death in her apartment over a dispute involving her phone.

Confirming his arrest to newsmen, spokesperson of the state police command, DSP Timfon John, said the suspect was apprehended in a church in Uyo while attempting to escape upon sighting the police.

According to the PPRO, the police received a report in February 2025 that the deceased was found dead under suspicious circumstances.
 
Lovers quarrel constantly lead to murder. It's not good to provoke someone especially if it's about jealousy. That killer was not able to control his rage. Love went wrong, what a pity to the lady. May she rest in peace.

That's the thing, but in most cases you won't even be able to tell that they are frustrated. You see them doing really well out there until you get to know them.

This is why studying someone you are dating is very important. it is good to always know when they are frustrated to avoid them
