What are the Common Mistakes of New Bloggers?

The most common mistakes of new bloggers: not knowing how to monetize their blog, not learning how to code, not have a plan for pushing out content regularly on a consistent basis, and not thinking about who is going to read their blog. The latter is the biggest mistake I see the most often...

Using Content Management Systems to Build Websites

I like to build my websites from scratch, and find CMS's annoying. However, sometimes they are a necessity when working with clients or when you need certain features that are best arrived at by using a Wordpress plugin instead of trying to reinvent the wheel.

    Blogs

You can do some work with the wordpress.com free plan. However, for any serious blog you should move the site off of Wordpress.com and into a self-hosted Wordpress site. I think there are still free Wordpress hosts, but you'll have to pay for a proper domain. Eventually you'll have to learn...

How to Choose a Design for a Business Blog?

The design should reflect the branding for the business and be consistent with any branded storefronts the business has. Consider the age of the readers: young people like bright colors, whereas older folk prefer black text on a white screen for ease of reading. More importantly, the blog...

    Benefits: Have a Personal Blog

I think that personal blogs seem to only benefit the person writing them in terms of mental health benefits. Unless you are Casey Neistat or a celebrity, nobody wants to read your personal experiences. Personal experiences are only relevant to the marketplace only as much as they allow someone...

    Monetization strategy

I'm still 30% of a software engineer, so I may eventually take on this project. I'm still slightly confused though. What Chrome does is that it syncs up my browser history and bookmarks so they are the same across my iPad and computer. It does not automatically sync all of the tabs between...

What is a package team? Is it worth it?

A package team goes and posts forum posts, threads, and blog comments on sites that request for blog comments, posts, and threads to be posted on them. Basically a "package" is a group of posts, threads, or blog comments that a webmaster orders for their site. It's like the people who used to...

    Business Endurance

*waits for customers to arrive* I mean, yeah, you have to have some patience. You also have to wait for clients to make decisions, in a service based business.

    Uniqueness of business

I like the idea of USP for art and writing businesses. What makes your art different from any other artist? What makes your writing different from any other writer? That's a key part of how you sell your art or your books.

    Print-on-demand Online Business

Hmm. While I see the potential in POD for textiles and art sales, I'm not sure that it's the best idea for books just yet. Books that are traditionally offset print tend to be both cheaper and higher quality even through you have to print them in batches of 1,000 and store them. Perhaps if...

    Monetization strategy

Brave Browser is basically Google chrome with modifications made by the Brave Browsing team. It's based on the Chromium open-source project. I actually want to switch from Chrome to Brave, but it's difficult because all of my bookmarks and history are in Chrome right now, and Chrome syncs up...

Which is the best way to monetize a website or blog?

I'm pretty sure the *best* way to monetize a website or blog is by selling your own products or services. All other methods are you trying to skim off of someone else's marketing and sales funnel, and that really can't give you as much profit as selling your own stuff. The other problem is that...

    Graphic software you use?

I still tend to stick with ye olde Photoshop, Dreamweaver, etc. I should put more effort into learning Adobe Illustrator but that never seems to get done. I still draw things in Paint and edit images in Faststone Image Viewer. The latter piece of software is allows for quick crops and resizes...

    What can we do?

I think the site needs to differentiate itself away from "let's discuss how to make money" sorts of topics. I understand that this is a paid-to-post forum, but looking at the forum listing when I first joined, I was like "ugh, Bizdustry clone". This forum promised me a "variety of topics". I...

At what point would you recommend divorce for a married couple?

I wasn't talking about courts enforcing such regulations on abusers, but rather the victims themselves enforcing their rules against their abusers, by either fight or flight. The abuser must not be given what they want as a reward for their abusive behavior, or they will continue it.

Is it true that the more you hate the more you love?

The song isn't really true in a mental health or relationship sense. You have to clear out the hatred for love to come in. On the other hand, it's true in a moral sense. The more you hate evil, the more you love good. The more you love evil, the more you hate good and find it annoying.

What is your favourite corner in your home?

My favorite spot is my desk, with the mechanical keyboard, 2 raised laptops, and iPad and iPad all laid out and ready for me to use. It's very comfortable, and next to my bed so if I get tired I can just lay down and sleep or watch my iPad in bed.

At what point would you recommend divorce for a married couple?

When one of the partners is engaging in repeated infidelities. In abuse cases, the partners should separate, and the abuser should be highly regulated as to their behavior in order to get access to their children. The abuser must agree to a strict conduct agreement, and if they violate it one...
