It is very rare that people go to banking halls these days. With the advent of mobile banking, people can easily perform financial transactions in the comfort of their respective locations.

Do you think that mobile banking reduces the need for cashiers in banking halls and such staff should be dropped?

Most people that were working as cashiers in banks have been absorbed to other departments of the bank.

No i don't think it would affect the need for staffs, even with the high increase of mobile banking, the physical banks are still full on a daily basis with people.

People still go to physical branches of banks for issues that has to do with their accounts. And to get loans.

Yes when there is no job for them it becomes unnecessary to still have them around so they might be laid off or transferred to other departments

For me l can say that the need for the physical banks is still at rise. That's why the bank staffs are constantly needed to serve the offline customers.

Banks are not dropping their staff because there are more online banking channels. Electronic banking won't make banks to drop staff.

Infact, it is already affecting the staff. Banks now hardly even recruits and they are dropping the old staff as well

I have noticed same. They are transfer to work in the loan department where there's much more work there.

I think there has been a decrease in the rate that banks open physical branches unlike some years ago. And it can be attributed to popularity of e banking.
