Has crypto made international payment systems like Western Union to be less popular?

Before crypto came, Western Union had been the major means for people to send money across the world. Nowadays, Western Union is losing popularity. It is rarely ever present in my country now.

Is the rise of crypto for international payment the reason why traditional international payment platforms like Western Union phasing out?

In my opinion, i believe it has. People these days prefer to use crypto rather than going to use Western union.

I have only used crypto to send and receive international payments. No other method works for me when it comes to payment internationally.

Western Union would take about 20% of the amount sent as fees. And that is very stupid when you would spend less than 50 cents to send through crypto.
