To have a successful business you should have a guarantee of some regular customers or buyers for your product or business. The best way to do this is to do things unique to attract and maintain them, like treating them well and special, what do you think about that?
 
You need to manufacture good quality product or service. There should be good after sale service and the cost of your product or service should be affordable for a customer

These are few things which will make you a successful businessman and help you retain your customers
 
To have regular customers for your business, you just have to ensure that you that you are friendly and jovial with your customers while serving them quality too.
 
There are many ways you can do to maintain loyal/regular customers, especially to maintain the continuity of the business you are running, such as: consistent service and always satisfying customers, establishing personal relationships and communication, providing special programs for loyal customers such as discounts on certain items, giving gifts on big days or Christmas.
 
By always making sure that each time the customers comes to buy something he or she is been treated specially.
