Staying safe on social media is critical for protecting yourself from harm. Try to make your account private, especially for those who can see your content in your feed. Furthermore, do not provide any personal information, such as your real name, address, phone number, or other relevant details. Use strong passwords on all of your social media accounts, and avoid clicking any odd links or attachments, as they may contain viruses. Keep up-to-date on the newest social media scams and threats so you can avoid them.

There's no danger staying in social media like Facebook. Facebook admin always protects us. When there's a stranger wanting to make friendship , Facebook asks me if I know the person. As soon as I answer, No Facebook blocks right away.

I think that keeping your account private and not accepting anyone who sends you a friend request or who wants to follow you is essential on social networks, another important thing is not to click on weird links or fall for silly scams that they try to do frequently on social networks.

I agree with you. There are certain people who may send you a friend request and eventually do some unpleasant things to you. I once had a “friend” whom I got to know through my ex. She kept messaging my other friends, asking for money. It is quite difficult to trust people nowadays.

And, yes! Don’t fall prey to scams, too!

I am not such an active user, but my data has been stolen many times. They tried to hack my Facebook page, but I didn't even do anything bad to anyone. I now always try to come up with the hardest password and I also never share information about myself on the Internet except for trusted sites and only out of necessity
