I too have realised that most of the Paid to post forums are very mobile friendly because most users use their smartphones to access on them.

That is very true most of the paid-to-post sites are mobile-friendly. Traffic from mobile phones is very popular right now because a lot of people choose to use it for convenience and economic reasons. The other thing is that if the experience turns too tedious. all that one can do is simply turn on the use desktop version button to have a better experience.

I am not even sure can you find not mobile friendly theme anymore. I guess probably you can but it will be outtdated and because of that browser can mark page as unsecure.
