What do you think are the parameters that Google use to rank sites?

Google and other search engines use a lot of parameters to determine which site should be placed at what position. Among some of the parameters include user friendliness, quality of content, bounce rate, backlinks etc. Among the above mentioned parameters, i think the most important is backlinks and user friendliness. The more the backlinks, the more search engine crawlers see the site as authority in that niche.

In some countries Google also considers the social status of the website owner. My websites are never ranked well in Google, because a large number of powerful companies, officials and others are criminally defaming me, making fake allegations without proof and I am not given the opportunity to defend myself against the lies.

I think the Google would also look at the reviews for the users. For the earning sites for instance would be ranked higher on the most legit if the users seems to be contented by the quality services for the site.

There is what we call mobile first optimization. The more your site is responsive on mobile devices, the more likely your site would be ranked high if it also has good contents too.
