The last update of Windows11 brought this news to our devices. I discovered them while I was searching for my dear old Wordpad in my VAIO netbook (the one running Windows). Unfortunately, it was removed by the last update, but Wordpal (the newest productivity tool for writers) has taken its place (in addition, Sheetpal has been added: it remembers Excel). Wordpal looks like an advanced Wordpad and there is also a premium option (that I skip: we know Microsoft products rarely are open sources and they are used to cost an arm and a leg, compared to Linux). Now I'm using Wordpal to elaborate some Spanish lessons I finally publish on one of my best paid to social. Did you discover yet Wordpal and Sheetpal?

No, I have not discovered them, I rejected the conversion of my Windows 10 to Windows 11. Windows 11 slows down my laptop and never let it monopolize my laptop. I keep on restarting if it tells me to continue to Windows 11. My save photos, documents and everything will disappear once Windows 11 positions itself on my laptop.

Could it be that your laptop can't handle the upgrade? Cause on a normal day you should not be having any issues with the upgrade.

I opposed the upgrade. I was told by my friend tech that Windows 11 slows down the system. It has already been converted but not yet finished, it is because I rejected the request to finish the installation of Windows 11. I will go to tech during Christmas vacation to restore Windows 10 on my laptop.

Probably, your computer doesn't own the features to properly support Windows11 (mainly a SSD). One of my VAIOs ran Windows10 when I purchased it 4 years ago. After a few months, I received the upgrade offer and I accepted Windows11. The netbook didn't lose its files (well, if we are afraid cause such a possible mishap, better to transfer first to a pen drive). On its side, my Toshiba Sat still running Windows10 doesn't stop to freeze, but it's really old boots (purchased in March 2013 😁 ).
