For years, I worked at a cafe. Not only did I serve coffee, I cleaned the restroom, served ice cream, dusted, helped in the kitchen, got the garbage ready, wiped tables and chairs off, and when I swept the floor... my supervisor inspected to make sure that I got everything or I would have to do it until she was pleased.
My back felt split in two. But the money was good.
I dreamt of working from home as a writer.
So, one day I just quit.
I have been working from home as a writer. The only downfall? The pay stinks.
Would you go crawling to your former supervisor asking for your job again? Even if it means breaking yourself in two?
