It sure is. My friend was into it heavily and stopped because she was not getting no traffic to her blog and she could not afford to pay to get it going.

It takes 20-30 USD per year to run a blog, and your friend could easily make this amount by posting on forums.

Right I would love to be able to as well. I need to get better about posting more here and interacting more on others stuff.

If you combine a couple of forums, you can earn enough money to run a self hosted website. But you also need skills to run a website successfully.

People still earn from blogging but it is not as profitable as it used to be. I guess that is why a lot of people do not own blogs anymore.
