Do I have to pay a gas fee of 5 dollars to claim an airdrop?

There is an airdrop that I joined on Telegram. After a period of mining, they are asking me to pay gas fee of 5 dollars to claim my rewards.

Do you think such an airdrop is scam. Have you ever had to pay such high gas fee when you are claiming airdrop rewards?

In my opinion, if there is a crypto developer who gives airdrop but asks for money on the grounds of paying gas fees, it is a scam!!!. If five dollars multiplied by millions of users, how much will they get a big profit.

I really thank you for this submission. I would just ignore the airdrop totally. But I know some gullible people would pay money to get the airdrop.

Even if they had taken half of the tokens you mined as fee, it would have been better than them telling you to pay fees with TON.

Sounds more like a scam. Airdrops normally as you to mine and then reward you for the tokens you managed to collect at the time of listing. Bit if an airdrop required you to pay first then I would say you are dealing with a scam. Run and never look back

I don't have much experience with airdrops, but the little I have come across does not really require you paying before getting it, so it's probably a scam.

All the airdrops that people have cashed out from didn't require them to pay any gas fees to claim the tokens.

That looks like a scam, I don't think you should pay that money, be careful and don't pay that money.

IT IS A SCAM. Airdrop suppose to be free and for every participant no matter how small. Because of this kind of extortion, i have stopped everything airdrop. The last four did not give me any reasonable reward.
