Do you give your old parents a monthly allowance?

Our parents are also tricky, they sometimes pretend they don't have money just to attract our attention especially if we seldom go home or visit them. Some parents also accept any amount an employed son or daughter give, but the truth is they save your money secretly so when you're in deep need of money, they will hand to you the savings.

Sadly, there are also parents who retired broke. They failed to protect their finances during their younger years. Their earnings were also good only for their children they sent to college to acquire a degree. Their children who are employed in the different companies, some of them forget the financial hardships of their parents. They seldom visit them and never care to know updates of their situations.

In your case, despite having parents with good retirement pension, do you still care to provide them monthly allowance?

I strongly agree with you that despite parents don't ask money , we can send them an amount that could stir their feelings. We also feel blessed once do this even once in a blue moon. Giving of gifts for them even without occasion thrill our parents most. We always feel their love and they, too feel the love for them.

There is no month that my parents don't have a share in my monthly income. Even though what they give me as foodstuff monthly is more than the money I give them.

Yes sharing is caring and that's love. But I was not able to share love to my mom, she died when I was 6 years old. I could still feel the love and care of my my mom when I was a baby. It's so sad.

Yeah, that is true. When my dad was still alive, I felt the contentment, He loved me more than what I expected. He died one ear after I graduated at the university, I and my siblings felt helpless. We thanked our parents for the gift of love and assets left for us, siblings.

I also believe that given them allowance should be the best option I think that the best option is for you to place them on better source of income so that they won't be disturbing you all the time

You are a good son, you can start giving them allowance despite not big while they are still npt old. The merrier they would feel being loved.

Both my mother and father have passed. My father has passed when I was only 11. My mother was alive when I was working full time. I did give her some monthly allowance so that she could have some entertainment activities with her friends.

Sorry to hear that your father passed away when you were 11. My mom passed away when I was 6 years old. How happy I would be if she's still with me this time. She could surely have a monthly allowance from me.

My mom doesn't need my money but she values it when I give it to her. I give her as much as I have income.
