Artificial Intelligence seems to be bridging into every sphere of society. In the medical world, there are speculations that we would soon be seeing AI doctors.

It looks scary from where I stand as AI doctors might not have that human feelings and emotions expected of a medical personnel.

Do you think AI doctors would work?

I dont think this would work though. These ai are usually programmed to carry out their functions in a specific way. There are some medical cases that might be complicated, how should this artificial intelligence react to things like this ?

That's a far cry. A patient needs emotional encouragement to recover which a AI doctor cannot do.

Maybe it could be. Now doctors based on your words use sensors as termometer and their view. A.I is very precise and it could do almost same stuff. Take picture and based on it detect injurie. I think it will never replace emergency help and fast response service.

First aid can only be provided by a human doctor.

I don't know if it will work, I think human contact is important when you're treating diseases, I think an AI can't give that, but I guess for minor problems or diagnoses it can.

Human contact relaxes the brain and nerves that cures half the disease and the AI doctor cannot do that.

Well i doubt there would be any ai that would be able to replicate human emotions. These machines are programed to function based on a specific way, so what happens when the situation is more complex than that?

Some time ago I read about that chat gpt scored more points than a real doctor however regardless of that I still think that read doctors are way better AI is good if you need help when you for some reasons can't go to a doctor or waiting in line

AI doctors will be programmed doctors and will definitely will not handle patients without emotions or personal involvement.

I also think that AI do not have emotions or anything so I do not think it can replace a real human doctor not saying it is bad it can answer to your concers better than some doctors however I do not wish that AI would replace doctors completly

Probably. I'd dare to suppose in my former country it can be even desirable. In spite I'm not at all a fan of AI stealing jobs to humans, a lot of doctors in my former country are awful individuals, arrogant and full of themselves. Treating patients as they were the dregs of society cause their very high social status. Cause such a boastful attitude, medical malpractice is very, very common in my former country. Unfortunately, my mother also bumped into medical malpractice and was at the point to die the first time she got a cancer. It's a million times better to count on AI doctors than a lot of human doctors in my former country.

They can never. Human being have the patience to listen which is not the case for AI doctors.

In my former country, the average human doctor has no patience to listen nor politeness. Patients are considered a burden and inferior beings, unworthy of attention. In spite of the thousand defects of AI doctors, I sincerely hope in my former country they'll become a reality. My fellow compatriots won't face the ordinary medical malpractice leading many patients to death.

Ai doctors may work in simple conditions like analyzing what could be causing the symptoms but when it comes to administering the medicine dosage a person to person interaction is necessary. AI cannot use stethoscope and analyze s patient 's breathing.

That's true. AI doctors won't ill treat but we can choose good doctors too.

A lot of time, the laws in my former country forbid patience to choose the doctor they prefer. They are compelled to doctors that work in their town/city. The same happens with hospitals: patients are compelled to their local hospital where they reside. One of my best friends died cause medical malpractice (he was only 43 years old) because his family couldn't choose the hospital. And has the justice sector in my former country is greatly corrupted (especially medical malpractice is covered by the Supreme Court that protects doctors cause family relationships), his case was easily swept under the carpet by the same hospital that caused his death . If AI doctor existed, I'm sure my friend (and many other people) could be still alive now.

That's right and they could even be issues where their programing could malfunction, in such a case it could lead to something else if care is not taken instantly.
