The customers always calculate their money. When it's time for them to pay the goods, they also compute. If your business is a wholesale and retail store, then train your cashiers how to handle the payments. Make sure to return the change up to the single centavo.

I was a victim of this many times my change lacking. The response of the cashier when I complain about the lacking change, her answer was shallow. She said that there is no available coins. I said tell the owner of this superstore not to act like a beggar.

My supposed change was $.25. It's not big but stores here incorporate the VAT. The business owner already hijacked big amount of VAT 12 % per order so why should I let them rob me. I told the cashier to give me the change or else, I'll blotter them. The supervisor arrived and told the cashier to go home. I was paid and there were plenty of coins in the drawer. Let's not allow crocs to rob us.
 
It's best to be transparent and fair with your customers, this will help you build a better reputation for your business.
That is right the business operators must not provoke the customers anger. They will leave and never come back in the store. Transparency is a must.
 
I no longer buy on the store that cheated me despite the invitation of my friends. They told me that the cashier who liked to steal coins was fired. The store, according to them is now doing its best services. I am still not convinced.

Exactly, and the worse part is if they start telling others about what you did, you have succeeded in ruining your career.
 
Today, I noticed that i gave the cashier 100 note and she entered reciept of 99 and gave me my change less $1. I asked her why shebdd that she said it was a mistake. Which i doubt it was. My gut instinct says she's been doing this the whole day. How many $1 has she taken from all the customers who where there shopping. Inshirt, I am going to be really aware of what cashiers do.

She cheated you in broad daylight. Your guess is right she has been doing it many times to many customers. At least, you aware her of her intentional mistake. She should not be tolerated and @eLdavis , you are so right in your contention. There are people like them.

The problem exists and what you will do is report the person to the authorities or confront her for her wrongdoings. The cashier I met had many coins hidden in the drawer. What about in the previous months? She might have kept many already.
 
Indeed, no customers would come back to a business center with a thief cashier. Trust disappears and it's not repairable. There is no morale and respect of the staff towards the customers.

A cheater never expects a happy life. Her bad reputation will ruin her future. She will never change if it's already in her blood. The cashier of the store who cheated the customers will find hard to get hired by other superstores.
 
I dislike stores that lack change for cash transactions. It feels like they are cheating or stealing. They should be prepared for coins or whatever. When they don't have coins, they often offer candies instead. LOL. Weird.

I experienced it too, my change was converted to a candy. One time, I threw it on the floor. Before me there were 10 customers all of them received candies instead of 25 cents. The store could raise thousands in year from cheating.
