Firing someone is not an easy task, you don't know how they are going to take it. how would you do it?
 
When I was Regional sales Manager south. Almost more than 50 people working under my managerial post, some of them were working with dull attitude but I never fired anybody. Instead of firing I mostly given them chance to improve and they shown improvement.

When a worker's job is at stake, everyone works efficiently, I hope I don't have to fire someone in the future.
 
There is absolutely no reason to keep such a staff. Decision makers in business are very cold people who would seemingly look the other way no matter how hurt you are with the right decisions that they need to make for the business.
