How do you fire someone?

Firing someone is not an easy task, you don't know how they are going to take it. how would you do it?

When I was Regional sales Manager south. Almost more than 50 people working under my managerial post, some of them were working with dull attitude but I never fired anybody. Instead of firing I mostly given them chance to improve and they shown improvement.

When a worker's job is at stake, everyone works efficiently, I hope I don't have to fire someone in the future.

When you are convinced that the person needs to be fired, you don't have to feel guilty about it. Just draft a letter that would summarily terminate his appointment and issue it to him. No emotions.

You can do it with email but personally I would like to hear it personally. Or at least call me and say how you don't need any my services.

I think firing someone is not easy. When am a manager of a company, i use to fire employees that fight in the company. I still find it difficult but i don't have alternative.

if you have tried to caution them about their bad service snd there's no change then you need to let them go and bring in competent hands.

I don't get to fire someone if it is not a grievous offence and if I decide to fire, there is no looking at your face. I would give you the firing letter at the gate.

You have business keeping someone that is of no use to uou or your business. Let the person go that might even be a catalyst for the person to work hard.

No doubt it's not an easy task, I think I would give them a few days to prepare themselves rather than sacking them effectively and immediately.

There is absolutely no reason to keep such a staff. Decision makers in business are very cold people who would seemingly look the other way no matter how hurt you are with the right decisions that they need to make for the business.
