According to the report, Southern California is bracing for extremely critical fire conditions as powerful Santa Ana winds of up to 70mph threaten to spark new wildfires and worsen existing ones.
The report said that Firefighters in Los Angeles are battling the Pacific Palisades Wildfire, Eaton Fire, and Hurst Fire, which have already destroyed thousands of homes and claimed at least 24 lives. The Pacific Palisades Fire has burned over 23,700 acres with just 14% containment, while the Eaton Fire has scorched 14,100 acres with 33% containment.
The report also said that despite improved preparedness, officials warn that communities in potential fire zones must remain ready to evacuate. AccuWeather estimates the wildfires could become the costliest in US history, with losses projected to exceed $250 billion.
The report added that Fire crews are replenishing water supplies after hydrants ran dry last week, but strong winds could spark more destruction.
The billion dollars damages can invest in something good for the USA but the fire takes them all. What a waste of life, and infras . May this calamity be solved as soon a possible, but how when the wind is so fierce that could create another deadly forest fire,
