Paying to Build Backlinks

Have you paid anyone to build backlinks, were you able to improve your ranking due to these links, did you get a lot of traffic after you paid someone to build backlinks? Well, I tried this a few times when I was new to SEO. I had to cancel the contract because the person was using some bots to submit links and all these links were being submitted on spam sites.

I haven't paid anyone to build backlinks. This is because i feel they would use bots to submit the links.

Paying for backlinks isn’t a good idea as it’s considered blackhat SEO and can lead to your site getting penalized or totally deindexed from the search engines.
