A customer came to show commitment to buy my product. She made part payment to me and promised to come back the following month to complete payment. It has been three years and I have not seen her. I can't even reach her too. I have been keeping the product in case she shows up anytime.

Every company have rules and define what will happend. You accept those rules with when you buy something. In such cases, company keeps money and product. In my company rule is 6 months to pay everything else and collect product.

I think you have been patient enough and would be free to move on and sell the product if the customer doesn't come after one year. Three years is even a stretch.
