If you allow an employee to work for you for so many years, that means his/her performance is at least acceptable. I think it is good to raise his/her salary. His/her loyalty should be appreciated.

I think most people nowadays give higher salaries to their employees so as to retain them on companies
It is a good practice to show appreciation, boost morale, and help retain valuable employees.
