This is an unfortunate news as survey by the National Bureau of Statistics, shows that two-thirds of households in Nigeria currently lack money to eat healthy and nutritious food.

The NBS survey titled, “Nigeria General Household Survey – Panel (GHS-Panel) Wave 5 (2023/2024). examined demographics, education, and health trends in Nigeria, comparing data from Wave 4 (2018/19) and Wave 5 (2023/24).

As painful as this might sound, it is actually true. Most families rely on junk or unhealthy food because it is actually cheaper than the healthy ones.

It is absolutely true! High level of inflation and economic downturn is making life very unbearable for the masses. While there is increase in essential products, salaries didn't increase in the same way. It is quite disheartening that most Nigerians are beggars!

How many people in Nigeria can afford meat as a basic commodity. I am certain that they are not many.
