According to the report, the US just sent a C-17 Globemaster III military transport jet to India, carrying 104 undocumented migrants. The military deportation flight landed in Amritsar, in the Indian state of Punjab.

The report said that it brought back Indian citizens who were trying to enter the US illegally, or who overstayed their visas. The migrants are from Gujarat, Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra.

The report added that India has agreed to take back 18,000 illegal immigrants from the country. This flight was likely the first of many. But will US President Donald Trump keep using military deportation flights once the novelty wears off?

Why are there so many illegal migrants from India, 18,000 still on foot in the USA? These Indians failed to go home after the three-month grant perhaps as tourists. Two things are destroying India's image illegal immigrants and scammers. The Indian government should do something about it because it affects India.

Instead of questioning Trump, we should be asking our past and present leaders the real questions. What drives people to take such immense risks and enter America illegally? Why are they willing to stake their lives just to leave India? Is it unemployment? Is it because clean air, water, and food have become a luxury rather than a right? Are they desperate for a better future for their children—one they believe India can no longer provide? What has led them to this belief? Whether they were transported by military aircraft or commercial airliners, the real question isn’t how they came back, but why they felt they had no choice. And why do thousands more continue to flee—not just to the U.S., but across the world? Will you ask our leaders—those who take holy dips in the most polluted river—why their people are drowning in despair?-One viewer said.

It would be one of the many flights carrying these illegal immigrants back to their home. India is not the only country, there are many more. Many Asian countries come in the category of developing countries including India, Phillipines, Indonesia, Malaysia, our neighbours etc. There is an American dream that attracts people from these countries to try their luck and sometimes even follow the illegal route. It's a shame that these people ( be it from any country) take the illegal route). They should be dealt with strictness from both the government and I am sure that it's going to happen.
On one hand, the legal immigrants of India are the best and most contributing community in America. They are respected and recognized by the government there. They are one of the most respectable ones.
America is a land of immigrants, a very small proportion of population is the real Americans in origin. It has accepted immigrants who bring business and prosperity to the country.
Shame that a handful of these malign the whole community.

In my country, the report said that there are 28 illegal migrants and the government is ready to accept them and the Bureau of Labor and Employment Services already have jobs for them but as of the report this day, there is no report yet of their deportation schedule. Hoping at the end, the US government provided them with green card to mean retention for being legal. I hope I am right for it's also not easy to be deported and labelled illegal migrants.

Oh wow they are welcome back to their home. I'm also waiting to get those from my country and welcome them back home
I think the Nigerians will be the next to be deported together with the Ethiopians. There are only a very few of them. Maybe they failed to acquire a green card.

It is well, anyways welcome back home to them. The ones who sold their homes and everything they had to travel in the first place might be having a tough time.

You might guess it right. Those who sold their properties may suffer a lot. Hoping the Nigerian government can provide them with a decent job to ease their pains .

OMG, how bad that would be. Your government is useless he he. The Philippine government already told the Bureau of Labor and Employment Agency to spare jobs for those Filipinos who will be deported from the USA.

@Augusta , I am going to give you updates about their deportations. They might be there soon. Just watch your nationwide news via TV or radio.

So far, until this day, there are no updates about dew for the Nigerians and the Filipinos. Let's hope that they are qualified to remain in the USA. It is also worrisome. They might have hired a lawyer,

Getting a green card is not easy, and it has got tougher these days. My husband had green card but he had to surrender when he joined a Japanese firm. There is criteria to be met before your Green Card application is accepted.

Yes, I know it. I have a sister in law working there in New York as nurse. She told me about green card not easy to acquire. She had hers after some years.

Trump has made it even tougher with only granting those who really bring some good value to the workforce and economy..even those who are in the queue are a bit apprehensive now.

Other countries are doing it now kicking the illegal migrants. The people in the UK also want the UK government to do the same. They also have many illegal migrants in the UK. It has been learned that crimes are mostly committed by the illegal migrants reason why President Trump departed them, more than 11 million migrants,

Yeah they might have done things to avoid being deported let see as it turns out for them either positively or negatively

There is lot of corruption and nepotism , due to which all the lucrative opportunities are reserved for people from rich and powerful communities, slavery is worst in the internet sector here.

India is facing a huge problem with illegal immigrants too. And it too needs to go stricter with them. We have a huge problem with Bangladeshi Rohingyas and cross border terrorism infiltration. It has to be dealt with a strict rod. Unfortunately, some see it as a human right thing. Illegality has to be dealt strictly especially when it jeopardizes the national security of the nation.
