There are quite a number of some operating systems on the laptops. Based on the needs and the purpose for the laptop usage that can affect the choice of the operating systems on the laptops. Therefore what is the OS that you have been using and what is the experience like?

I use both Windows and Linux and I prefer this latter. Linux offers various productivity suites for free (beginning with the famous Libre Office, while Microsoft Office costs a fortune) and it's not prone to be hacked as Windows (until users don't fall into a phishing, obviously). In addition, Linux usually doesn't need a huge memory as Windows.

I have also used both, but I prefer using windows. As a graphic designer, windows makes it a lot more easy since there are a lot of apps made for a windows operating system.

I understand, because Windows is easier to use and offers many facilities. Pen-drivers are read faster than in a Linuxian environment. But unfortunately, Windows' suites aren't open source at all and present huge fees, to not talk about the processor and RAM consuming...
