When does a green market not mean sell in crypto?

The knee-jerk advice given is that we are free to sell our crypto coins bought in red market? Does the green market as a call to sell your crypto hold true in every circumstances? Are there circumstances that you might need to still hold your crypto even when the market shows green for you to sell?

If you have a target, you won't just sell because the indicator just turned green. You would have to hold out for your target price before you sell.
